Coerver DVD: Goalkeeping Essentials
When many coaches think of the Coerver DVDs they mostly think of them as teaching youngsters technical skills that they can use on the field of play. However, it’s not just outfield players that need technical instruction, there’s a Coerver Coaching DVD set for Goalkeepers too.
The Coerver Goalkeeping Essentials DVDs will help any young aspiring goalkeeper. There are both fundamental and advanced techniques specifically for goalkeepers. Just like the outfield players have a player development pyramid, there is also a player development pyramid which Coerver designed just for goalies. The pyramid is aimed at improving how a goalkeeper performs and also works at helping a goalkeeper with their confidence.
The DVDs contain the following:
- Basic goalkeeping technique (handling)
- Positioning, footwork, and mobility
- How to stop shots
- Distribution and dealing with crosses
- Gameplay
Just like with the other Coerver DVDs, all drills contained on the DVD can be altered for age, skill level, or surface condition.
